Where is Hawaii?


Where is Hawaii? Well it is an Island located in the Pacific Ocean that was created by hotspots, to be precise it is right in the middle of  the ocean. The Hawaiian Islands  are located 2,000 mi (3,200 km) southwest of North America. Because of the location of Hawaii there are many characteristics that can't be found on any other state in the U.S.

Hawaiian Islands are  not located in North America, but is part of it. This is the only state that is completely surrounded by Hawaiian ocean water. Hawaii is one of the most isolated places on earth that is why it is a great place to relax and get away from everything. Hawaii is 2390 miles from California which makes it ideal for those that want to visit.

Hotspots are volcanoes created  when the tectonic plate beneath the pacific ocean moves to northwest and the hot spot stays where it is and it slowly creates new volcanoes.  The main hotspots are the Emperor seamount chain  that is formed by proximately 129 volcanoes that are arranged in a line.
